AMD Software Improved OpenGL Games' Performance

Minecraft players will see a 79% boost with 4k Fabulous settings.

The latest update to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition brings improved performance to games running on OpenGL. The program now includes OpenGL optimization, which promises up to an 85% increase in performance. The company says Minecraft got up to 79% increase in performance with 4k Fabulous settings on the Radeon RX 6950XT and up to 75% on the Radeon RX 6400 compared to the previous software driver version.

Another change aimed at increasing performance and accessibility is Radeon Super Resolution support for discrete Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 series GPUs on AMD Ryzen processor notebooks with hybrid graphics as well as Radeon Boost using Variable Rate Shading with Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village, and VALORANT.

Arguably, the most important feature of the 22.7.1 update is AMD Noise Suppression, which reduces background audio noise using a real-time, deep learning algorithm.
