An Incredible AI-Powered Goldfish Asset Made in Unity

Have a look at this complex goldfish simulation made by Game Developer Masataka Hakozaki.

Today, let's take a look at an incredibly complex AI-Powered goldfish simulation being made by Solo Indie Developer Masataka Hakozaki. The creator has been developing the simulation since at least 2021 using Unity and MODO, sharing informative demos that showcase the development process and the newly-added features along the way.

In these demos, Masataka showed how the particle backgrounds were drawn, how fish movements were mathematically set up using trigonometric functions, how tracking and the auto-rotation view mode were added, how the AI and pathfinding were set up, how fish were taught to look for food and adapt to their surroundings, how calculation time was reduced to less than half using a script that arranges capsule colliders in a box shape, how the realistic water was created in Unity, and much more. You can check out some of the demos down below or by visiting Masataka's Twitter page.

What's more, you can also try out the asset by becoming Masataka's patron on Patreon. Also, don't forget to join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
