It's reportedly selling around half as much as Remake did during the same period.

According to Daniel Ahmad, an industry analyst, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which was released on February 29, 2024, is reportedly underperforming.
"Also, not to be that guy, but Rebirth is underperforming sales-wise," he wrote on Twitter.
When asked to explain his statement, Ahmad mentioned that the game is selling roughly half of what Remake sold within the same time frame and may have a weaker long-term performance. He later clarified that this information is based on "equities research reports, who are getting the data from the usual trackers."
Some fans have noted that comparing the two releases may not be entirely fair, as Remake was launched during a global lockdown at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Remake's release in April 2020 was also prior to the current economic crisis, towards the end of the PS4's lifecycle, while Rebirth can only be played on PS5 at the moment.
Recently, other analysts have examined daily active users of Stellar Blade's demo, and it turned out that it's twice as popular as Fantasy VII Rebirth.
