If you love Disco Elysium but are not impressed by either of its developers' new "spiritual successors," then check out Glasshouse, an upcoming isometric turn-based CRPG set in a post-capitalist Feudalpunk world created by FLAT28.
"Inspired by RPGs such as Disco Elysium and Pathologic, Glasshouse promises an intense narrative-roleplaying experience punctuated by unforgettable characters, complex dialogue trees, multiple endings and deep ideological introspections that go beyond the screen," reads its description on Steam.
The story is set in Lundonstoch in March 2028, and you are Wealdmaer, a building manager who wants to be remembered as a "righteous" leader. As a world war begins, you're trapped in an apartment block, Dormitory 73B, and must solve the mystery of a triple murder next door, fight against a political plot, and make tough choices before the flatmates do it for you.

During the combats, you can choose between fighting with the DIY weapons or "making the enemy surrender with your oratorical skills," and while building your way out, gain knowledge from reading books and craft equipment at the Workbench to help you survive.
"I mean, I just loved Disco Elysium and Pathologic -- and wished they had a child," said the developers at FLAT28. It is an international team with more than ten artists from the film, CGI, and gaming industries, who have been working on this project since 2022 during their free time, fully remote and without any budget.
They've shared more clips and screenshots to showcase the game's atmosphere, gameplay, combat system, and evolvement:
Glasshouse doesn't have a release window yet. If you're impressed, don't forget to add it to the Steam wishlist and follow the developer on X/Twitter to receive more updates in the future.
