Meet Jill, Claire, Leon, Chris, Carlos, and Rebecca – Kittens Up for Adoption at a US Animal Shelter
A cute and clever way to help little creatures find their home.
An adorable screenshot has been circulating online: an animal shelter has named a litter of kittens after Resident Evil characters – Jill, Claire, Leon, Chris, Carlos, and Rebecca.
Beaufort County Animal Services in Washington, NC, has come up with a creative and unusual way to attract attention to animal adoption (or someone on the team is simply a big Capcom fan, which doesn't cancel the previous statement). The kittens are named after Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, and Rebecca Chambers.
The two puppies in the same listing also carry famous names – Wilbur Wright and Henry Thoreau, an American aviation pioneer and an American naturalist and essayist, respectively.
This is not the first time a shelter has named its little residents after characters from popular media. Earlier this year, an animal shelter in Brazil shared photos of 50-day-old puppies dressed as Stranger Things characters to raise awareness about animal adoption. Good news – all of them found homes!
