Apple Will Reportedly Have a Leasing Program for Their Devices

Apple
It's not the first time we've heard about an Apple lease program, but this time it might be more real than other times. Following the rising prices of their devices, they're planning to let consumers pay for them over different periods of time, depending on the product.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has partnered with Klarna, a Swedish fintech company known for its "buy now, pay later" services, to launch the program on July 28. It's important to note that Klarna doesn't work in every country, so the program will probably only be available in the United States at first.
The report also said that for iPhones and Apple Watches, the term will be up to 24 months, and for Macs and iPads, up to 36 months, all of them with the possibility to keep, return, or upgrade to a new device. But entry-level devices like iPhone 16, Apple Watch SE, base iPad, and MacBook Neo aren't eligible for the program.
So far, Apple hasn't confirmed anything, but according to Bloomberg, this plan will require a soft credit check, and it won't include AppleCare, which is their standard limited warranty.
Considering that Apple has also been affected by the memory crisis, it makes sense for them to release an option for people to keep buying their devices, and it won't be a surprise if other companies do the same; if Apple's plan works, they'll probably look for options to release it in other countries.
