It can even recognize "blades of grass."
Morefun Studios is working on its free-to-play tactical extraction FPS Arena Breakout: Infinite, and it has something other games in the genre don't.
While companion AI is nothing to write home about usually, Morefun has developed an extra smart system that understands what you say.
As reported by Insider Gaming, the artificial intelligence engine is called F.A.C.U.L. (First Ever FPS AI Companion Who Understands Human Language) and it recognizes up to 17,000 in-game items, including locations, buildings, weapons, and "even blades of grass."
With F.A.C.U.L. on board, you can order your companions around or just have a conversation. MoreFun told Insider Gaming that it hasn’t found a real use case for the AI in the game yet, particularly since it doesn't want to make it overpowered, but the idea itself is promising.
