Starfield is still barely behind.

Baldur's Gate 3 has been a hit on everyone's minds for almost a month now, crowning bestseller charts all this time. But it seems it's time for other games to occupy players' libraries as Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon managed to take away the first place in Steam's weekly top-selling games chart from Larian's RPG.
Released on August 25, Armored Core 6 is the most-sold game by revenue this week, followed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Baldur's Gate 3, and Starfield. Last week, it was only number eight – a huge jump, especially for a mecha title, a pretty niche genre.

Despite this breakthrough, the global chart overall looks quite different. There, Counter-Strike is leading, and Starfield takes second place. Baldur's Gate 3, Armored Core 6, and Sea of Stars are closely behind.
This surge of attention to Armored Core 6 is not surprising. Bandai Namco believes FromSoftware's previous IP, Elden Ring, warmed up the audience to another great game from the studio.
Even though the games are very different, players enjoy getting creative with Armored Core 6's mecha creator, bringing to life Minecraft's creepers, Pepsimen, and even Carl Johnson from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
