Artem Brizitskiy (Артем Брижицкий ) is originally an architect, who found his way in gamedev. He worked on a bunch of various projects, including Akella’s Postal III (he was outsourcing some of the models there). Plus he worked for a closed but incredibly interesting FPS “Project Offset”, which was bought by Intel and never saw the light of day. However, this gig actually helped Artem to get a job in Naughty Dog, where he works to this day. You can actually learn much more about Artem in his interview to Sergey Galyonkin. The interview is in Russian unfortunately, but it’s super interesting (the clip with the recording is below).

Anyway for Uncharted 4 Artem did a bunch of various things, including wonderful vegetation. It’s all created by hand and looks absolutely incredible.

Artem also worked Sunken Ruins level and the city landscape in one of Uncharted 4’s levels. He’s a true generalist and an incredibly versatile guy, who does a bunch of various environment-related tasks.

We really want to arrange an interview with him, but so far had little luck. Keeping fingers crossed.
