Artist Shows WIP Unity Vertex Painter Tool with a Retro-Style Scene
Sully shared updates on the tool.
With this custom Unity Vertex Painter tool created by Game Developer and Mojang's Senior Technical Artist Brendan "Sully" Sullivan, you can paint vertex data directly onto meshes without leaving the Unity editor.
The artist has shared updates on the project, demonstrating the tool with the example of a Nintendo 64-style scene. The work involved reviewing about 5,000 lines of code, writing up documentation, and preparing the package for the asset store. The tool is currently in development, but the creator is preparing it for release.
