Assassin's Creed Mirage has arrived, marking a new era for Ubisoft's enduring franchise. Whether you discovered Assassin’s Creed as a child, roaming the world as the captivating Ezio, or are completely new to the series, Mirage resonates with both long-time fans seeking nostalgia and newcomers alike. Despite being on the market for a mere week, the game's sales are already skyrocketing, as Ubisoft unveils some statistics on Twitter.
Assassin's Creed Mirage breaks new ground for the beloved series, presenting an engaging RPG experience set in a vibrant and culturally rich world. Ubisoft is delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response from fans, just days after its release. The team expresses their excitement and gratitude for the love and support shown towards the game since its launch and shares that the player count for Assassin's Creed Mirage is on par with the highly successful launches of previous entries in the iconic series, such as Odyssey and Origins.
"Thank you for joining on this incredible journey that celebrates, honors, and builds upon the 15-year legacy of the Assassin's Creed series. We could not have been happier that our back-to-roots experience has been embraced by the community. With the number of players being in line with past successful launches such as Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, we are humbled by the positive reception. We are proud to also share that Assassin's Creed Mirage is the biggest New Gen launch in terms of unit sales to date at Ubisoft (PS5, Xbox Series X-S)," stated the developer.

At the end of Ubisoft's statement, they present an entertaining glimpse into the community's in-game accomplishments. Players have collectively spent nearly 500 years indulging in exhilarating rooftop parkour and have fearlessly executed a staggering 60 million Leaps of Faith. Adding to the in-game charm, gamers have also showered 1.2 million affectionate pats on the street cats of Baghdad. Although impressive, the number of pats is deemed insufficient, encouraging players to keep petting and increase the tally.
More news about cats, in Baldur's Gate 3, players have discovered that their cats are not exempt from consequences when it comes to rat hunting. Despite the in-game understanding of cats' natural tendency to kill mice, certain guards are unforgiving and ensure that the feline offenders face their own punishment by being pressed into service.
