Assembling Path Simulation Made With Houdini & UE5

The project was created by Naerly Nona and is currently WIP.

Game Developer and VFX Artist Naerly Nona, known to many for creating picturesque visual effects using Niagara, has showcased yet another mind-blowing project. This time, equipped with Houdini and Unreal Engine 5, the creator has managed to set up a neat assembling path simulation with the mesh becoming whole depending on the player character's location. According to the author, the project is currently WIP and will be further refined down the line, with Naerly planning to share a comprehensive breakdown once it is finalized.

"I made a simulation of the fracture in Houdini," commented the creator, "then I'm interpolating between the simulation age of each part depending on proximity with the position of the particle before the simulation. Player close, time = 0s/ far, time = 10s."

We highly encourage you to visit the artist's Twitter page so as not to miss any future updates.
