The telecommunications provider plans to "explore the use of a full suite of NVIDIA AI offerings".
AT&T and NVIDIA have recently announced a collaboration, aimed at enhancing the former's sustainability and transforming operations through the utilization of NVIDIA's AI-powered technology. Specifically, AT&T plans to employ a range of NVIDIA AI offerings, thereby becoming the first telecommunications provider to explore the full suite of solutions.
These offerings include the NVIDIA AI Enterprise, a software suite for building accelerated production AI, which incorporates the NVIDIA RAPIDS Accelerator for Apache Spark, enabling the provider to optimize its data processing capabilities.
AT&T also plans to leverage NVIDIA cuOpt, a recently-unveiled real-time route optimization software, to enable real-time vehicle routing and optimization, and adopt digital avatars through the NVIDIA Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine, a suite of cloud-native microservices for end-to-end development of interactive avatars, and NVIDIA Tokkio, to build, customize and deploy virtual assistants for customer service.
Furthermore, conversational AI will be used by the company via NVIDIA Riva, a GPU-accelerated automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech SDK for building fully customizable, real-time conversational AI pipelines.
"We strive each day to deliver the most efficient global network, as we drive towards net zero emissions in our operations," commented Chief Data Officer at AT&T Andy Markus. "Working with NVIDIA to drive AI solutions across our business will help enhance experiences for both our employees and customers."
"Industries are embracing a new era in which chatbots, recommendation engines and accelerated libraries for data optimization help produce AI-driven innovations," noted Manuvir Das, vice president of Enterprise Computing at NVIDIA. "Our work with AT&T will help the company better mine its data to drive new services and solutions for the AI-powered telco."
