Larian Studios might have said its goodbyes to the Baldur's Gate series and won't be coming back to D&D games, but it doesn't mean the team is idle. We've heard of its next project taking shape, but the recent BG3 update revealed that there are actually two games Larian is working on.
The studio is moving back to its own IPs and is excited to share more when it has some news.
"It’s still early days – we’ll tell you more about those later down the line. But know that even as our focus turns to these new games, the sensibilities that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 are alive and well here at the Larian castle. We’re fueled by the very same fire in our bellies, one that drives us to create immersive experiences shaped by your choices, and we can’t wait for you to join us on this next adventure."
Larian's CEO Swen Vincke believes what the developers are cooking will be their "best work ever."
"I get excited like a kid watching the key imagery, want to show it to everyone now and grumble in frustration at having to wait until it’s actually all working. Yes, it’s hype but it’s hype because it really looks and feels good."
"I'm crazy hyped about what's next but it's going to take a while," he added on X/Twitter.
To other Larian news, Baldur’s Gate 3 is preparing Patch 7 for launch, which will add improved evil endings, first modding tools, and companion fixes.
