Baldur's Gate 3 Is Leading Steam Weekly Top Sellers Again

Starfield has dropped down, and CS:GO is still the best among free games.

For two weeks at the beginning of September Starfield crowned Steam's best-seller chart – no wonder, it was released on September 1 in early access and September 6 for everyone. Players' anticipation easily elevated it, but the game couldn't stay on top for long: last week, Starfield dropped to number four, just behind Baldur's Gate 3, which is now the most-sold game by revenue. Again.

According to SteamDB, Baldur's Gate 3 led the chart for three weeks after its launch, but then Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon took its place briefly before Starfield came out.

Now, Baldur's Gate 3 might be in third place only among all the games and devices Steam has to offer, but above it are Steam Deck and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – the most popular free title – so it makes Larian's RPG the best-selling paid game.

Here is a list of last week's top sellers:

  1. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  2. Steam Deck
  3. Baldur's Gate 3
  4. Starfield
  5. Mortal Kombat 1
  6. PAYDAY 3
  7. Apex Legends
  8. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
  9. Lost Ark
  10. Lies of P

This boost in sales might be connected to the PlayStation 5 release of Baldur's Gate 3 on September 6 and its further spread through YouTube and Twitch. We might see it happen again in a couple of months when the game is launched on Xbox.

At the same time, Starfield has a large number of players on Xbox, so this drop might not mean much for it.
