Be a Brutal Headless Horseman In This Gory, Action-Packed Shooter

MEATSHOT is the latest project by indie developer Tolga Ay.

What can be better to cheer up a Monday than a high-octane, action-packed shooter? Spending one minute to watch its trailer can be refreshing enough.

In MEATSHOT, “you embody an unstoppable beast in a digital realm. Run along walls, dodge bullets, and pull off acrobatic gunfights in slow motion with pinpoint accuracy as you unleash carnage, taking down elite soldiers.” You will take on the role of Headless Horseman reborn, a brutal beast with a flaming pumpkin head who is equipped with high-powered weapons and inhuman abilities.

Perform incredible slow-motion flips and shoot bullets mid-air. Imagine some brutal moments when you crush enemies under your feet after leaping from rooftops, then skate on their dead bodies — thinking of it is enough to generate some excitement.

MEATSHOT was developed by Tolga Ay, who designed the game to be a “power fantasy of Max Payne, Matrix, Prototype 2.” It is all about pure action, so you can expect some cool, stylish movements. “Every battle is a high-octane dance of bullets, speed, and precision, where you control the flow of time and devastation.”

The development of the project seemed to start around a bit more than a year ago, and since then, it’s progressed a lot, as proved by the footage and demos shared by the indie developer. Let’s follow them to walk through the various environments of the game and have a peek at the smooth animation and the climbing and wall-running showcase:

MEATSHOT is listed as Coming Soon on Steam, so you might want to add it to your wishlist so as not to miss its launch. Tolga Ay has worked on platforming games like Dream Swing and Remnants of Naezith, both of which have received very positive reviews and are now on special offers. While waiting for MEATSHOT to be released,  we recommend you check them out.
