A-RED Walking Robot is a 3D platformer in which you play the role of a tiny clockwork-operated robot named A-RED on ingenious trails set by the creator through a chaotic workshop.
“Master balance skills, solve intricate mazes, move objects with your tiny hands, shoot lasers to move obstacles, defeat enemies, use electricity to activate switches, and even fly with your jetpack to cover great distances,” reads the game’s description.
The game’s physical mechanics require precise controls. The countdown to life is ticking, so you’ll need to be quick to collect wind-up keys to maintain vital energy to move. Yet, balance is the foundation of everything. If you rush, the uneven surface and obstacles might make you fall, which means the end of the round.

Remember to speed down and turn in time when tackling intricate terrain. The obstacles need to be moved to clear a way out, which you can do using bare hands or laser guns. But shooting lasers too quickly will make you heated up to the point you have to stop immediately, and it’ll also slow down your movements, so take into consideration this rule.

A-RED Walking Robot is a project by solo developer JOOKITOOZ, who is also a tango dancer and teacher. He has been sharing some screenshots and footage to give us further looks at the levels in the game, like Dark Zone, Stool Bridges, and Spider Zone, where mechanic spiders await, and more. The various props in the game, like tin cans, posters, paper planes, pencils, caps, stickers, et cetera, truly add more retro charms to the environment:
