Beautiful Procedural Engraved Tile Material Created in Substance 3D Designer

Hung Vo shows what his trip to a temple led to.

Material and Foliage Artist Hung Vo presented a stunning procedural tile material he created in Substance 3D Designer after visiting a temple.

"During a trip to a temple, I came across a beautiful old pavement. The color, the engraved patterns, and the way dirt, dust, and moss had built up over time all looked really rich and inspiring. I thought trying to recreate it in Substance Designer would be a great practice piece to help me level up my skills."

While he has been using Substance 3D Designer for only a few months, the resulting material is truly impressive. The artist used the Broken Terracotta Tiles tutorial by Maxime Guyard-Morin and Damaged Pavement Stone by Khayyam Naghiyev.
