Beeble Presents Background Remover, a Tool for Isolating Subjects in Videos & Images
The tool addresses rotoscoping, allowing for quick and high-quality results.
Beeble has introduced a new Background Remover, an AI-powered rotoscoping tool that quickly creates high-quality foreground masks from video, images, or image sequences. The tool is available on the Beeble Web App.
Background Remover addresses rotoscoping, one of the most time-intensive tasks in post-production, and allows for isolating subjects from complex footage with speed, precision, and control. The tool can process up to 20 files, or 2,000-frame sequences, and supports various export formats, including 10-bit RGBA video files with embedded alpha channels, RGBA PNG sequences for frame-by-frame compositing, and alpha-only outputs in both video and image sequence formats.
Check out how the tool can remove the background from a video, creating an alpha map:
Separate objects can be further isolated, as demonstrated with these two players:
The new feature is a part of the company's broader strategy to move beyond standalone AI features toward a more cohesive production workflow, which would incorporate tasks like rotoscoping, relighting, and environment changes.
Before, Beeble presented SwitchLight, a tool for relighting videos, and its updated version that understands entire scenes, not just isolated objects.
