It took the fans less than 24 hours to decode the audio message hidden in the new teaser trailer for Mass Effect.
In case you missed it, yesterday, to celebrate the N7 Day, BioWare shared a new teaser trailer for the upcoming continuation of the studio's Mass Effect franchise. At first glance, the trailer looked nothing special, showing an unfinished Mass Relay concept art with some ominous and eerie soundtrack playing in the background. However, the studio also commented that the fans "may want to look a bit more closely" at it, hinting at the possibility that the short teaser contained some easter eggs within it.
Less than 24 hours after its release, the fans managed to successfully decode the message hidden in the audio, finding out that it contains some Geth sounds mixed together with a few phrases said by the series' beloved asari researcher and party member Liara T’Soni. "Exactly. The Council will be furious. Although, they should know by now not to underestimate human defiance," said Liara in the hidden audio. According to BioWare's Project Director Michael Gamble, Twitter user @eughenia_sh was the first one to decode the message.
And here's the initial teaser shared by BioWare:
