Ray tracing is a technique that enhances the rendering of light and its effect on a scene. According to NVIDIA, in Black Myth: Wukong, this technique raises the quality of lighting, reflections, and shadows, including the smallest shadows from leaves and pebbles. As stated by the tech developer, full ray tracing is also known as path tracing and is used by visual effects artists to create film and TV graphics that are indistinguishable from reality. With the latest NVIDIA updates, its use in video games became possible. NVIDIA called Black Myth: Wukong "one of the most immersive and technologically advanced titles released to date."
