Since January, Blender Studio, the creative team behind the open-source Blender project, has been working on Project DOGWALK, a video game built using the Godot Engine. Designed as a small, interactive storytelling experience with a papercraft aesthetic, the project's goal is to develop a smooth pipeline between Blender and Godot, streamlining the asset and level creation process.
Now, the developers have announced that the production is complete, and DOGWALK is available to play.

However, while the game is feature-complete, it's not fully polished yet. As expected, there are still bugs, performance issues, and other things to be worked out. Over the next few months, Blender Studio plans to gather player feedback, address major issues, improve performance for wider hardware compatibility, and fix various bugs to enhance the overall experience. Also, they will be working on creating a proper Steam store page to make the game more accessible.
DOGWALK's production was financially backed by Studio subscribers and is currently exclusive to them through the website. When the developers are ready for the official launch, the game will be made available for free.
