With version 4.0.2 of Lukasz Czyz's efficient UV packing engine for Blender, a new UV alignment operation called Align To Unselected has been introduced, alongside several quality-of-life improvements. This feature aligns selected islands to the top of similar unselected ones.
The update added significant performance optimizations for very dense UV maps, as well as to the Measure Area (Merged) operation. Additionally, UVPackmaster 4 can now report islands with severely corrupted topology. The Adjust TD To Unselected operation has been fixed, and overlapping island reporting has been improved.
UVPackmaster 4 is currently available only for Blender, but a release for Maya users is expected soon. If you missed the news, be sure to check out our article on UVPackmaster 4. To upgrade from an older version, contact the developer using the same email address you used to purchase your license.
