Blizzard Delists Warcraft 1 & 2 But GOG Keeps Them in Classic Program

It also gives a discount code for the bundle.

Blizzard

Blizzard will delist Warcraft 1 & 2 from GOG as of December 13, but the platform has included the titles in its preservation program and will still keep them.

The first and second installments to the Warcraft franchise have recently received remastered versions, featuring "brand-new, hand-drawn visuals that capture the original art style from each game," as Warcraft manager Brad Chan described them. On Blizzard's store, Battle.net, the developer has already replaced the original games with the remastered versions and soon they are to be delisted from GOG as well.

However, the platform labeled the Warcraft 1 & 2 bundle as Good Old Game and included them in the GOG Game Preservation Program:

"Even though Warcraft I and II are getting delisted on 13th of December, they will not be removed from your library and GOG will maintain those titles for everyone that bought them before that date."

Also, GOG gives a discount code MakeWarcraftLiveForever for purchasing the bundle.

The GOG Game Preservation Program keeps the old classic games and allows players to enjoy them even after developers stop supporting them. It already includes the original Fallout, which was launched in 1997, three Resident Evil games from over 25 years ago, and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition from 16 years ago.
