Bodycam, a UE5-Powered FPS With Hyperrealistic Graphics, is Inviting Playtesters

The game's second round of playtesting is set to launch on May 31.

Reissad Studio, a two-person indie game development team from France, has shared some exciting news about Bodycam, the studio's highly anticipated FPS game with hyperrealistic graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, announcing that the game's second playtesting session is set to kick off later this week.

For the uninitiated, Bodycam was first unveiled back in 2023, described by the devs as an ultra-realistic multiplayer first-person shooter designed to push the boundaries of photorealism. The game features high-octane deathmatch gameplay, where two teams compete to be the last ones standing. Players can expect a variety of weapons, tactically optimized maps, ragdoll physics, and a distinctive bodycam-like fisheye camera perspective.

As per Reissad's latest statement, the second round of playtesting for Bodycam will launch on May 31 and run for 48 hours until June 2. This phase is open to all participants and can be accessed via Steam or the developer's official website. Moreover, the team has teased their "biggest announcement yet", scheduled to be revealed at the start of the playtesting session on May 31 at 7 PM (UTC+1). You can learn more about how to request access by joining the studio's Discord server.

And if you would like to learn more about Bodycam itself, we also recommend checking out our interview with Reissad Studio, in which they told us about the story and development of Bodycam, spoke about the game's camera and lighting, discussed its shooting mechanics, and more.
