3D artist Nino DefoQ has released Braidify – a procedural generator for Blender that easily turns curves into braids, "no matter the scale or attachment object".
Whether your preferred style is realistic or cartoonish, the Geometry Nodes-powered generator will make sure you get your braid. You can also switch between the styles by simply checking the corresponding box.
The process is as easy as it sounds – just draw a line, and the tool will do everything else. Nino added some variables you can customize in the modifier panel, which allows you to tweak the settings.
