You can't get away from ads, they are everywhere, including games, and more are to come, considering Activision's recent decision to promote microtransactions in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 when you swap weapons.
As reported by Eurogamer, there is a new spot that shows you all the fun guns you could have. While some players don't agree it's an ad because it promotes in-game items, the idea is clear, and fans are not so happy about it.
"One of the unwelcome changes I’ve noticed with Season 4 is that they’ve now inserted a new ad spot at the top of the list of your weapon specifics builds. So now every time you toggle between weapon builds you get to stare at ads for $20-$30 skins. I’m sure the Activision developer who suggested this terrible feature is very proud of themselves," said one Reddit user.

The player calls this move "especially unneeded" because "you could already toggle from “Builds” to “Shop” on any given weapon."
Another user compared it to Reddit putting ads between comments, but, as several people reasoned, Reddit is a free app, and some paid "$60-$100 for a feature game" and don't want to be pushed into giving Activision more money.
"I wouldn't even be mad if this was just in Warzone, a free game, but putting it in a pay-to-play premium title, with how expensive they're getting? F*ck off," another player complained.
Activision has recently announced the end of new content for Warzone Mobile, as it doesn't bring nearly as much profit as Call of Duty Mobile does.
