Capcom Publishes Its End-Year Financial Results, Reports Record-Breaking Sales Numbers

During the last fiscal year, the studio has sold more games than ever before.

Capcom has published the financial results for the last fiscal year, which ended on March 31, 2023, reporting a record-breaking number of game sales that outperforms any of the company's previous years.

As revealed in the report (via VGC), the studio sold 41.7 million copies of their games during the one-year period, up nearly 10 million from the previous year's 32.6 million, breaking the record for the most games sold in one business year for the sixth consecutive year in a row.

According to Capcom, the result was achieved thanks to such titles as Resident Evil 4 Remake and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, which sold around 3.75 million and 5.45 million units respectively, as well as the Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and Devil May Cry series, which cumulatively sold 29.3 million units. Furthermore, the publisher revealed that almost 90% of the sales were digital.
