Capcom Reports Financial Growth with Most Sales from Catalog Games

The most successful title is Devil May Cry 5 with 2,13 million copies sold.

Capcom published a financial report for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, covering the period from April to September 2025. The company reported total software sales reaching 23,852,000 units, with a 19.1% increase compared to the previous year.

The majority of this figure comes from catalog sales, totaling 22,854,000 units, or 95.8%. Sales of new units account for the remaining 4.2%, or 997,000 copies. 94.0%, or 22,410,000 of the games, were sold in the form of digital copies, with more than half (57.3%) for PC and a third of the overall amount for console (36.7%).

The most successful Capcom's titles over the period are Devil May Cry 5 with 2,13 million copies, Resident Evil Village with 1,56 million copies, Resident Evil 4, having sold 1,26 million units, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, with its 1,14 million copies, Street Fighter 6, with 1,08 million copies sold, and others, which you can see in the list below:

As for the most prolific franchises, the first place is taken by Resident Evil, which is followed by Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Devil May Cry:

Overall, Capcom reported "good progress toward achieving full-year plan." Its net sales rose by 44%, reaching 81.1 billion yen ($534 million), and operating profit rose by 90%, to 39.3 billion yen ($259 million).
