Resident Evil Showcase gave us a lot to be excited about.
At the Resident Evil Showcase, Capcom presented new trailers and gameplay footage of its upcoming games. The 30-minute video teased some gameplay of the Resident Evil 4 remake along with the pre-orders start, the Resident Evil Village Winters' expansion trailer, and more.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
As promised, Capcom delivered the gameplay footage of the remake, which shows the beginning of the game where Leon arrives at the village, including the scene with the chainsaw man.
There is also a new trailer showing Ada, Ashley, and Ramon Salazar as well as some well-known moments from the game.
You can pre-order Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. PS4 owners will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. The game will be launched on March 24, 2023.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition
You could watch the new trailer for Resident Evil Village Winters' Expansion at the showcase, featuring Ethan’s daughter Rose. The director of the DLC talked about her background and the role of fear in the story.
The DLC includes the third-person mode, new content for the Mercenaries mode, and the ability to play as Lady Dimitrescu. The DLC will be out on October 28, 2022.
Resident Evil Re:Verse
The multiplayer survival revenge battle game will be available in early access on October 23 before launching on October 28. It will be free for all owners of Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and will support crossplay.
Finally, Capcom announced that the cloud versions of Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil 3 Remake will be coming to Nintendo Switch. Resident Evil Village Cloud will be released on Switch on October 28, Resident Evil 2 Cloud will launch on November 11th and will be followed by Resident Evil 3 Cloud on November 18th. Then in the following month, Capcom will release Resident Evil 7 on December 16th.
Resident Evil Village will also appear on macOS on October 28, with the Winters’ Expansion DLC coming later.
