The animation tool is ready to launch after almost three years of beta testing.
3D keyframe animation software Cascadeur is finally fully launched after almost three years of beta testing and ten years of development. It empowers animators to create physically accurate animations much easier and faster with its AI-assisted tools.
The release also brings a major update, introducing a "thorough" revision of the UX and UI and improved AutoPosing and AutoPhysics AI tools. Other changes include updated constraints and Manipulators as well as better Track Stretching Mode and Clamped interpolation. You can find the list of developments here.
With the update and the great interest from the game and VFX industry, the developers believe that Cascadeur will soon be one of the must-have tools for 3D animation.
Cascadeur is available for Windows and Linux, with macOS support coming soon. The software is free for solo creators and indie developers with low sales revenues, while larger teams can subscribe to Cascadeur Pro to gain access to additional functions, unlimited commercial use, and user support starting at $25 per month. You can get a lifetime 25% discount if you subscribe by December 31.
In 2023, the developers plan to finish the Hands AutoPosing tool and expand the AutoPosing and AutoPhysics tools. More interaction of characters with the environment, a convenient control picker, and a pose library are also coming next year.
