Cat Breeding RPG from Isaac Creator Mewgenics Becomes Most-Played Roguelike on Steam

You most likely know Edmund McMillen for his Binding of Isaac or perhaps Super Meat Boy, but it looks like future generations will be acquainted with his special type of humor thanks to Mewgenics, a recently released cat breeding RPG where you send your cats to die fight for you so they can produce even more cats and, of course, fun.

Created together with Tyler Glaiel, the game has become the most-played roguelike/roguelite on Steam, attracting 115,428 concurrent players and dethroning Hades 2.

The numbers are extremely impressive, especially considering it's been a week since the game's launch and it didn't have that much promotion. 

I guess McMillen's special brand of creativity is bound to pay off. I'd say the countless possibilities and cat variations are what make Mewgenics so addictive.
