Catch a Glimpse of Capcom's Mega Man: Dual Override with a New Gameplay Trailer

Play as Mega Man or Proto Man in a city taken over by uncontrollable robots.

At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Capcom shared new details of the new entry of the Mega Man franchise – Mega Man: Dual Override, revealing a new gameplay trailer.

In the new installment of the action-adventure series, coming in 2027, you will be able to play as either Mega Man, a sensitive and rightful robot using a range of Special weapons, or Proto Man, operating his shield in a variety of attacks. The heroes are tasked with restoring peace in a city overrun by uncontrollable robots and uncovering the truth behind the incident that sent them haywire in Dr. Light's absence.

Each character has a unique fighting style, requiring players to use different strategies. New Custom Chips will allow players to freely modify their abilities and use the overwhelming power for a limited time with the new Override system. This gameplay system lets robots release their limiter and gain strength beyond their normal capabilities for a short time.

The catch is that after using the mode, a robot is vulnerable for a while, which requires careful, thoughtful use. The first revealed foe is Twinkle Girl – an apprentice entertainer robot, up to defeat Mega Man despite her friendly appearance.
