CD Projekt Celebrates The Witcher 3's 8th Anniversary with a Cake Depicting Geralt Bathing in a Tub

On May 18, 2023, The Witcher 3 celebrated its eighth anniversary. CD Projekt took this opportunity to express gratitude to dedicated fans of the game and shared a collage of screenshots contributed by the action RPG's community.

"It doesn't matter if you are Team Triss or  Team Yen. We all are Team Geralt!" the company wrote. "Thank you for all these amazing years spent on slaying monsters, looking for Ciri, playing countless rounds of GWENT, or simply enjoying a lovely sunset in Velen!"

Additionally, the company celebrated The Witcher 3's birthday by presenting a cake shaped like Geralt in his famous bathtub scene from the game's opening. A photo of the cake was shared on GOG's Twitter account, accompanied by a comment mentioning that the water was colored green to represent Geralt's recent encounter with a zeugl. 

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on May 18, 2015, garnering widespread acclaim from both players and critics. In December 2022, CD Projekt Red unveiled a next-gen version of the game, further enhancing its visual and technical aspects. The title has received exceptional ratings on Metacritic, with an average score of 94 out of 100 from critics and a user rating of 8 out of 10.
