CDPR Announced Sales Numbers of Cyberpunk 2077
Check out the sales numbers of Cyberpunk in 2020.
Last week we wrote about CD Projekt's 2020 revenue and how it managed to beat all of the company's records. Today, CDPR finally announced the sales numbers of Cyberpunk 2077 in the last year via the company's Twitter. According to them, last year only, almost 14 million copies of Cyberpunk were sold. Considering the fact, that it was only being sold for 21 days, this is a huge number.
Despite the game's astounding marketing success, many gamers who bought it were not really satisfied. According to CDPR, more than 30 thousand people asked for a refund due to the game not being what they asked for. For many, Cyberpunk 2077 felt unfinished with numerous bugs and a lack of desire from the developers to fix them. There is a concern among dissatisfied gamers, that these huge numbers might blind the developers, and they won't fix the bugs in the game. Only time can tell whether these concerns are justified.
CDPR also released some information about game copies sold by distribution type and by platform. You can also check them out via Twitter.
