CDPR's Co-Founder Marcin Iwiński Leaves the Role of the Company's Joint-CEO

Instead, he'll become the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, promising to "remain active and engaged."

Marcin Iwiński, the Co-Founder of CD Projekt Red, has announced that he'll be stepping down from his position of Joint-CEO by the end of 2022, handing over the responsibilities to his colleagues. According to the official statement shared by CDPR, the developer plans to become the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, beginning "a brand-new personal chapter at CD Projekt."

Additionally, Marcin stated that he intends to remain a major shareholder in the company even after leaving the Joint-CEO position and promised to "remain active and engaged" in supporting the growth of CDPR.

"For me, this is a huge moment," commented Marcin. "I've been at CD Projekt for almost 30 years and I have seen it go from a handful of passion-driven rebels to an internationally recognized developer of story-driven role-playing games loved by millions globally. Back when Michał Kiciński and I founded the company, I don't think either of us would have been able to imagine this incredible journey, not even in our wildest dreams."

What do you think about Iwiński vacating the role? How will it affect CDPR's upcoming titles?
