On December 1, 2023, CD Projekt Red held a live broadcast called REDstreams, where they unveiled details about the highly anticipated major patch 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077. The developer shared a list of significant changes on their official website.

The update will introduce a new subway system in Night City, with five metro lines and 19 stations for players to explore. The in-game radio feature has also been expanded, allowing players to listen while walking or riding the subway.
The update includes a reworked boss fight with Adam Smasher, featuring dynamic gameplay and new abilities inspired by the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. Other boss battles will also receive enhancements. Players can enjoy racing against Claire Russell again, earning discounts at the Autofixer for their victories.

Exciting additions come in the form of a convertible version of Johnny Silverhand's Porsche 911 and five new motorcycles. Motorcycle physics has been improved, allowing for tricks and maneuvers. Chases in the game will become more diverse, with pursuing gang members adding to the thrill.
To improve accessibility, a dedicated tab will be added for settings, including font enlargement and color blindness modes. The patch will also provide full support for the DualSense controller on PC. CDPR has also promised a comprehensive list of changes on their website closer to the update's release.
Players can look forward to downloading patch 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 on December 5, 2023.
