The wait is over. Render anything directly in Blender using the next generation of the V-Ray product family.
Chaos began rolling out the latest version of its production renderer, V-Ray, late last year, gradually integrating it into major DCC applications. Over time, V-Ray 7 was released for 3ds Max, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, and Houdini. Meanwhile, V-Ray for Blender entered a free beta phase, with a full release expected this year.
Now, that release has arrived, bringing with it all the essential tools for high-quality rendering, including built-in post-processing, a ready-to-use asset library, cloud rendering, and collaboration features.
V-Ray 7 for Blender comes with full compatibility with the latest version of Blender, introducing initial support for rendering Cycles materials, as well as integration with Blender's hair system. It also adds V-Ray Node Editor, enabling users to create, edit, and manage materials, textures, and geometries using a node-based workflow within Blender. Like other V-Ray editions, V-Ray 7 for Blender includes core features such as CPU, GPU, and hybrid rendering, V-Ray Frame Buffer (VFB) for interactive rendering, advanced Global Illumination algorithms, support for real-world cameras and lens effects, and much more.
