The setup reflects how the helicopter's mechanical parts move in real life.
Rassoul Edji, the Founder of Luminairi and former VFX Artist on Hollywood blockbuster movies, has once again teased Luminairi's upcoming movie, showcasing a highly detailed 3D AH-64D Apache helicopter rig made for the project.
According to the artist, the rig was specifically designed to reflect how the mechanical parts move in real life to achieve realistic animations and hold up in close-up shots. Presumably, the rig was set up in Autodesk Maya, the same software Luminairi previously used to rig Hyperion, an imposing 21-foot-tall mech warrior also set to be featured in the movie.
