Check Out a Mesmerizing Unruly Sea Simulation Made in Blender

Ryan Will's experiments with digital water never cease to amaze.

Ryan "TrashCG" Will, a talented 3D Artist, Animator, and one of 80 Level's favorite CG waterbenders, continues wowing us with his experiments by unveiling an awesome new fluid simulation made in Blender.

This time, the creator showcased a great 3D diorama, depicting a small cliffside forest hut getting attacked by the raging waves of an unruly simulated ocean, complete with realistic-looking splashes and whitewater particles. Much like most of Ryan's previous works, the new simulation was achieved using FLIP Fluids, a powerful fluid simulation add-on for Blender that gives you the ability to make high-quality cinematic liquid effects.

Besides demonstrating the final project itself, the artist has also recommended a couple of comprehensive tutorials that showcase some of the techniques Ryan used for his simulation and explain how you can achieve similar results:

Previously, Ryan also employed FLIP Fluids to transform Blender's default cube, an iconic 3D model regarded by many as the very symbol of banality, into a spectacular water simulation:

And back in 2023, the creator utilized the add-on to simulate water being impacted by a rapidly moving gun round (yes, an entire round) in Blender:

And here are some of Ryan's more recent projects, you can check out more by clicking this link:
