Check Out a Photorealistic Girl Portrait Made in Maya & Substance 3D

Sailesh Parajuli presented a character portrait so lifelike that it can hardly be distinguished from a real-life photo it was inspired by.

3D Character Artist Sailesh Parajuli has revealed a new jaw-dropping character model of a little girl that looks so photorealistic that, if not for the wireframe shots, would make you question whether it is actually a 3D character or simply an attention-grabbing hoax.

Inspired by a real-life stock photo of a Tibetan girl, which the artist found on Getty Images, the character was set up using ZBrush and Maya for modeling, Substance 3D Painter and Mari for texturing, and Arnold for rendering. Additionally, the author utilized XGen to recreate the girl's hairstyle.
