3D Artist Popreq showcased Light Linking and Multi-pass Compositing.
As Blender 4.3 is currently in beta until November 6, users are actively testing its new features, which show great potential to significantly enhance art production workflows. In particular, Blender's Eevee received two major enhancements: Light Linking and Multi-pass Compositing, which Film Director and 3D Artist Popreq has examined in the video above.
Popreq shared that the new compositor creates beautiful lines, is lightweight, and has the ability to convey a lot of detail. "I composite three types of lines: lines for each part of the face and hair, lines for the boundary between light and shadow, and lines due to depth differences while masking them as necessary. There are also three rim lights", commented the artist.
