Popreq shared a new amazing project and a behind-the-scenes look.
Film Director and 3D Artist Popreq showcased this vibrant 3D scene featuring a stylish fisheye effect, which was created entirely with Blender using Eevee.
The artist explained that, though normally such a visual effect is not possible in Eevee, they managed to create it by distorting all objects as seen from the camera in Blender. The footage shared by Popreq includes a view from the camera and the entire scene.
Popreq clarified that the compositing was also completed using Blender. In this part, the creator compared the mentioned software to After Effects, noting that Blender offers more lightweight performance, but it also comes with some specific behaviors.
The artist also developed an add-on designed to replicate the behavior of After Effects' pre-comps, which automatically tracks the connections between various .blend files.
