Check Out This Auto Scapula For Rigging Quadrupeds In Maya

Thomas Bittner showcased Auto Scapula limb lock for realistic weight introduced in the Maya workflow of his custom Kangaroo-Builder rigging tool.

As 3D Artist Thomas Bittner explained, this Auto Scapula lock for dog and horse limbs will help animators put the body weight onto the scapula without having to counter-animate. While the Maya part in the video is currently available in the latest Kangaroo-Builder version, the artist hopes to publish Unreal Engine rig builder later this year.

Kangaroo-Builder is Thomas Bittner's custom framework for rigging in Maya, a dream project of an ultimate rigging toolset, a complete system that includes rig builder, tools for face rigs, a pipeline for collaborating and sharing within your team and creating backups, skinning, weight maps, and geometry tools.
