Black Pellet was inspired by Red Dead Redemption, Mad Max, and Gears of War.
Solo Developer Raisel Edwards showcased their upcoming game project, an open-world western made in a claymation style titled Black Pellet.
The game, inspired by titles such as Red Dead Redemption, Mad Max, and Gears of War, follows the story of a man and his loyal dog, combating chaos in a post-apocalyptic desert. As shared by the developer, the dynamic gameplay features shooting and climbing mechanics, combat, weapons, vehicles, hunting, and more.
The developer paid careful attention to crafting the game's world in this appealing claymation style, starting with modeling real-life clay figures and then using them as a reference to sculpt the figures in Blender.
