Check Out This Cool Realistic 3D Muscle Simulation Test
Jeff Lianza is back to exploring body structures.
Jeff Lianza has awed us again with his realistic body tests. This time, he created a neat muscle simulation in Houdini using a WIP model of Kratos.
"Focused on achieving secondary motion and volume preservation across major muscle groups. Still iterating on fiber orientation and constraints for more anatomical accuracy," he said.
You can see how the moves in 3 projections: a skeletal structure, a muscle suit, and a skin-covered body. The model lacks hands and facial details at the moment, but considering Lianza's experience with realistic 3D art, I'm sure it will turn out great.
You can see his work closer on Glen Keane, a well-known character animator at Disney, who worked on The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and other popular movies.
