Check Out This Evil Dead-Inspired Deer Head Made for a PS1-Style Horror Game

Is This A Mug presented a ghoulish prop prepared for his upcoming multiplayer horror game in Blender.

Game Developer, Comic Writer, and Illustrator Cayden Bullock, also known as Is This A Mug, continues working on his upcoming multiplayer horror game with PS1-style graphics, offering a look at a stunningly horrifying 3D prop prepared for the yet unannounced title.

Those already familiar with Is This A Mug's works know very well about the artist's expertise in stylized psychological horror with dark humor elements. As such, it comes as no surprise that the creator's upcoming game references one of, if not the most iconic comedy horror franchises of all time, The Evil Dead series, featuring a prop inspired by the deer head from the second movie, boasting erratic movements and a ghastly appearance similar to the original.

According to the developer, the prop was made from start to finish in Blender, a free and open-source 3D software. Besides showcasing the model itself, Is This A Mug also shared an insightful breakdown over on YouTube, demonstrating the step-by-step process of modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating the deer head. You can watch the full breakdown attached below or by visiting the author's YouTube channel:

We also recommend checking out Closer To Home, the developer's 2022 psychological horror game with strong Yume Nikki vibes. In Closer To Home, you'll need to explore a sizeable surreal world, navigate connections between reality and dreams, befriend a lot of weird entities, and more. You can download the game by visiting its Steam page.
