White Knuckle's demo is available.
When reading the game's introduction in this article, I thought it was an action game with parkour and platforming elements until I watched its trailers, where intensive chasing brought the experience to a horror level. The game is called White Knuckle, a first-person speed-climbing game.
White Knuckle takes you to the guts of a megastructure called SUB-STRUCTURE 17, and the only thing you need to do here is to climb up to escape from the chase of “The Mass,” a massive oozing legion of bodies.
Precision movement and resource management are keys to survival as you pass through the various regions, each with unique gameplay and threats. “From the deep dry storage of the Silos, through the putrid sewers of the Pipeworks, to the haunted piers of Habitation, each new area will require adaptation to new obstacles and denizens.”

You’re definitely not alone in this dark space, as it serves as a cozy habitat for other creepy and annoying creatures that stand there or fly around trying to block your way up. In the latest version of the demo, the developers brought some new and rare roaches, and it’s said that players will need to collect 500 roaches to unlock an achievement.
The developer of the game, Dark Machine Games, has shared more footage showcasing the intense chase and dark, gloomy environment inside of the megastructure:
According to the developer, White Knuckle was created by three individuals during their evenings and weekends, with the intention of providing entertainment for thirty minutes. However, the game has garnered nearly 10,000 wishlists on Steam, along with many players who spent several hours playing the demo to complete it.
If you’d like to give the game a try, don’t hesitate to download the demo and follow the developer on X/Twitter to receive more updates in the future.
