Check Out This Game That Resembles Getting Over It But In VR

Crowbar Climber is a newly released game in which you need to climb to the top of a cliff with a crowbar in each hand.

Check out this Unity-powered VR game, Crowbar Climber, developed by Passonco, a Game Developer from Japan, and published by MyDearest, the VR publisher known for Altdeus, Tokyo Chronos, and The Exit 8 VR.

In this game, you need to climb to the top of a cliff with a crowbar in each hand. As a player, you need to make your way up through hooks, planks, and gears using only your arms. "Grab hooks at the last second, launch yourself with powerful swings, and cling to ledges in creative ways," reads the description.

A crowbar reacts to every move, so you need to carefully control your environment and body. You can record your gameplay in both first-person and third-person perspectives and show off your crowbar-climbing skills.

The developer shared that Crowbar Climber was made for VR gamers who love Bonelab's physics action and dual-arm platforming games like Gorilla Tag. But also, this game is reminiscent of the renowned punishing climbing game, Getting Over It by Bennett Foddy.

Getting Over It didn't leave the audience indifferent, as many clones of this psychologically challenging game were created. For instance, One Box One Goal shows what it would look like in 3D. There's also a VR version of the game created by Quentin Valembois, which was even approved by Bennet Foddy himself.
