Check Out This Party Game Where Chairs Run Away from You

Chair Chase turns musical chairs into a chaotic online experience, and you can now try its demo on Steam.

Do you remember real-life party games where you had to get to a chair before someone else did? Have a look at Chair Chase, an online party game from Turkish indie studio Babs Games that takes this concept and makes it even harder and more chaotic: the chairs run away from you once the music starts.

Chair Chase supports 2 to 8 players and has just received a demo on Steam. The chairs avoid being sat on: they come alive, run, hide, and parkour across the map. However, once a player sits down, a new fight begins: everyone else tries to push them off.

Various handy items let players beat their rivals. With a jetpack, they can chase chairs that escape onto shelves. A glue gun sticks opponents to the floor, and a shield protects a seat. Winners earn points and keys that open loot chests around the house. Between rounds, players can buy new items in a shop. After seven rounds, the player with the most points wins.

There are two modes. In Classic, players grab a chair and win a balance fight to keep it. In Hot Seat, they ride a chair around the house, and the longest seat time wins.

Players can create a lobby with friends or join public matches online. The game supports 31 languages, including English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Chair Chase will also take part in Steam Next Fest in February 2027.
